Photo Contest

Useppa Island Club had an amazing, fun-filled season.  We are looking for pictures to make an album for Facebook from photos taken by members and guests while they were on Useppa.  Whichever photo receives the most likes will win a free one night stay in one of our Collier Rooms and Suites, excluding holidays and will expire November 1st, 2014.  If you would like to be part of this event, send your pictures to useppamembersphotos@gmail.com by May 30th.  Include a description for the photo if you would like to provide it and we will include it with the picture.  We will withhold the poster’s name until after the contest ends.  To keep it fair, only one picture per person but you can send more to be added after the event but please let us know which one you would like us to use for the contest.  We will have the album up by June 1st and the voting will end at 4:30pm on June 15th.  We will announce the winner on June 16th on Facebook and by email.  If you have any question, please do not comment but send an email to useppamembersphotos@gmail.com.  Please share this post so that we can get this out to as many members and guests as possible.  Thank you all for a great season and good luck!

April 2014 UFD Fundraiser

By Ray George, President of the Fire Board of Directors

On April 12, 2014 the Useppa Fire Department held their bi-annual
Fundraiser. Thanks to your generosity the event was a wonderful success.
The Fire Department raised just slightly over $157,000 net of expenses.
This was far and away our best event ever and it was all due to the
wonderful generosity of our members and guests. The Fire Department will
now be able to achieve our goal of becoming Advanced Life Support
qualified. Special thanks to the “Patrons of the Fire Department” category
who made cash donations of $5,000 or more.
Also special thanks to “Fire Chiefs” who made cash donations of $1,000 to
$4,999.
Thanks to our Live Auction donors.
A big Thank You to all who donated to our Silent Auction and those that
bought the items.
Finally to those members who pledged $1,000 for the leased car that goes to
a Wounded Warrior a special thank you.
Useppa is a very special place and your generosity and support for the Fire
Department will help keep the Fire Department able to provide our services
to all residents and visitors.
